Desk Review for DELT4SLOG II

Desk Reviews are a critical component of budget work, and at the Niger Delta Budget Monitoring Group (NDEBUMOG), we derive our indictors for budget tracking from within the measurable, data-integrity of desk reviews, which we carry out periodically. In furtherance to this, and in line with the underlying concept of the Deepening Expenditure Line-Tracking for States and Local Governments in the Niger Delta (DELT4SLOG II) project, NDEBUMOG embarked on a Desk Review exercise, which was targeted at extracting capital projects of key line Ministries, Departments and Agencies, who have the fiscal obligations for the development of the Niger Delta. Within the embodiment of DELT4SLOG II Desk Review, about 5,616 projects were reviewed, which were directly intended for the benefit of the vulnerable Niger Delta area and people, for the 2011 fiscal year, from the following government agencies:
